How to give
Four ways, in three currencies. Mobile money is the cheapest for us to receive from within Ghana; a bank transfer is cheapest from abroad.

Mobile money
MTN MoMo and Telecel Cash, merchant details to be added. The fastest route from inside Ghana, and the one that costs us least. Use your own name as the reference so that we can thank you.

Bank transfer
Cedi, sterling and dollar accounts. Account details to be added — write to info@starchildcarefoundation.in.net and we will send them, along with the reference to quote.

Card, once or monthly
Online card payment is being set up. Until it is live, a standing order to the sterling or dollar account does the same job with lower charges.

On tax relief — the honest position
We are a Ghanaian organisation. We are not a UK registered charity and not a United States 501(c)(3), so gifts from those countries are not tax-deductible and we cannot claim Gift Aid. Anyone who tells you otherwise about us is mistaken. If tax relief matters to you, write to us and we will point you to a partner who can receipt your gift properly.
Where the money goes
Total expenditure in 2025 was GH₵ 2.35 million. This is the split, audited and published every March.

We write four times a year, and never in between
Field notes with what happened, including what did not work. No emergency appeals, no birthday reminders, no telephone calls.

Your details stay with us
We do not sell, swap, rent or share a supporter list with anyone, ever. One click unsubscribes you and we do not ask why.

You can ask where your money went
Name the year and we will send you the community, the programme and the audited figure. If we cannot trace it, we will say so.

If we cannot use it well, we will say no
We decline gifts that would make one donor more than a quarter of our income, or that come with conditions our child protection policy does not allow.
And the one thing: we will never show you a photograph of a distressed child to make you give. If a picture on this site would embarrass the person in it at eighteen, it should not be here — tell us and it comes down.
